Landed helps people check whether a remote job posting, offer, or recruiter message is legitimate. Privacy is built into how it works — this page explains exactly what happens to your data.
The text you paste is sent to a third-party AI provider to produce the analysis, then discarded. Landed does not save the text, and does not keep a copy of your message or the result.
AI processing is performed by one of these providers (depending on availability), each under its own privacy policy: Google Gemini, Hugging Face, and Cloudflare Workers AI. Please avoid pasting sensitive personal information (e.g., your SIN or banking details) — you never need to, to check a job.
Our home page shows a short presentation video using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies unless you press play. Google’s privacy policy applies when you watch it.
If — and only if — you tap “Share anonymously,” a short excerpt of the message is added to a public feed so others can be warned. Before anything is saved, we automatically redact contact identifiers on our server: phone numbers, email addresses, @handles, and links. We store only:
We do not store your name, IP address, or any account identifier with a shared post. Shared posts are automatically deleted after 90 days.
We keep simple anonymous totals (e.g., how many messages were checked, how many scams flagged) to display activity stats. These are numbers only and contain no message content.
To prevent abuse, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address transiently for rate-limiting; we do not retain it as part of any stored record. We apply security headers and server-side input limits.
Landed is intended to comply with Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and Québec’s Law 25. Because the analyzer stores nothing and shared posts are anonymized and redacted, there is generally no personal data tied to you to access or delete. If you believe a shared post contains identifying information, contact us and we will remove it.
Landed is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
